Water Campus
A new mixed-use campus for business and academic collaboration
Following a DKP Concept Plan, UDA produced an Implementation Plan for a new 35-acre Water Campus on an infill site along the Mississippi River adjacent to downtown Baton Rouge for Commercial Properties Realty Trust (CPRT). With more than 1.5 million square feet of public and private labs, research facilities, and commercial space, the plan will provide a workplace for more than 4,000 researchers, staff, and faculty. The campus is designed in the form of an urban, mixed-use innovation district anchored by Louisiana State University, the Coastal Protection Recovery Authority (CPRA), and The Water Institute of the Gulf alongside residential uses, a hotel, and ground floor restaurants for a truly live-work-learn-play environment.
